Book a pet session, help the animals.
I picked up this little book on a clearance table at the bookstore yesterday. I often look for photography books on the clearance table because there can be some amazing photography books to add to my inspiration collection and they are just sitting there on sale as if needing someone to love them.
This time it was a little book of dog photography:

It has photographs through history of dogs. Not just portraits, but documentary and even snapshots. So much black and white film grain and goodness. I love it!
I'm left even more inspired to photograph pets and have decided that for every pet session booked I will donate $20 to the SPCA.

Baby Sister
I was called to photograph the baby sister of this sweet boy.
He has an equally sweet sister. Two happy kids - what more can I ask for?!

Pet Photography
With a new website on the way I decided to add a pet gallery. I have a lot of pet photos that I take at family/child sessions and when I gathered them all together it occured to me that I need to start offering pet photography. I love animals almost as much as I love babies so it really is a no brainer for me.
These beautiful black and white film based portraits of pets are loved by those that love their animals. Often the animals are the children before there are children. We love them!!

Here is how it works:
A pet session will take place at your home or if you pet is super well behaved we can go to an outdoor location. Pet session may or may not include humans but the photos will be focused on the pet. Pet sessions receive less film and time than a baby/family session and will have online proofing rather than the usual in person proofing. Contact me for more information. :)
