When people from away visit Newfoundland they inevitably love it. The natural beauty that exists is very real and very powerful. It is always a treat to drag a tourist to the top of the hill and it makes for fun photography.
Another fun session premise is the person living away. The promise of a life with less financial struggle has lured many a Newfoundlander away from home. A print on the wall from a photo session here can offer a very personal reminder of home.
My photography related goal for the next year is to do as many of these sessions as possible. I may one day grow bored of the setting . . . but I doubt it . . .
